Exodus 9:27-35, Proverbs 8:13

Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron and said to them,
“I have sinned
God is the Righteous One; I and my people are
the wicked ones
Pray to the Lord, for there’s been enough
of God’s thunder and hail
I’ll let you go; You and your people shall go free”

“I can see, I can see, I can see clearly what I have done
Now I know, now I know, God is righteous
and I am the wicked one
Hear my cry, hear my cry ‘surrender’ out to the sun

Moses replied,  “I’ll ask the Lord to hold back the hail
But as for you and your servants,
I know that you do not yet fear the Lord”
Moses was right; Pharaoh was sorry, but not for his sin
He proved he did not yet fear the Lord
when he hardened his heart and he sinned again

You can see, you can see, you can see clearly
what you have done
You can know, you can know God is righteous
and you are the wicked one
You can cry, you can cry ‘surrender’ out to the sun

But that does not mean you fear God

To fear God is to hate evil; to hate evil is to turn from sin
To fear God is to hate evil; to hate evil is to run from sin

Don’t be afraid; for those who God loves, He puts to the test
that the fear of the Lord may abide in your life
to protect you from sin
This would not be had Adam and Eve
stayed away from the tree
Oh but they did not fear the Lord
did not trust that His words had their best in store
Will you trust that His words have your best in store?

You can see, you can see, you can see clearly
what you have done
You can know, you can know God is righteous
and you are the wicked one
You can cry, you can cry ‘surrender’ out to the sun

But that does not mean you fear God
Do you fear God?
Will you fear God?
