Emily Martin

Hey there! Emily here, also commonly known as Ems, Emsy or Emsicle by members of Mosaic and a few notorious others. I’m 24 years old, 5 foot 2 inches, and I’m pretty sure that I’m still technically considered a “newly-wed” to my incredible husband, Jonathan, of just over a year. Looking back, I’d never have guessed that two years out of Belmont University I would be constantly traveling around the country with four other people, sharing songs that seek to raise high the name of Jesus Christ and the truth of His word.

I grew up in North Carolina, and I’ve always been on a stage somewhere singing, dancing or acting. Whenever I hear an amazing vocalist, often in musical theater or pop styles, who communicates skillfully and authentically, I can’t seem to contain myself! Studying and coaching vocal technique has actually become a fun hobby of mine.

Another important fact about me is: I LOOOVE coffee! I love how it tastes, how it smells, and I love learning about various roasts and brewing techniques. In fact, I think my love for coffee is contagious, proof being that I myself have single-handedly addicted all of Mosaic…(sorry guys.)

All that said, without a doubt I am so thankful for where God has chosen to lead me in life. Playing music and growing with my Mosaic family is a blessing and a grand adventure, to say the very least.
